Step By Step Mode
Making batter

  1. Take besan/gramflour in a large bowl.
  2. Add turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, hing/asafoetida, ajwain/carom seeds and kasuri methi.  
  3. Next add, finely chopped onions, ginger, green chillies, grated carrot, finely chopped capsicum, tomatoes, coriander leaves and mix well.
  4.  Pour 1/2 cup of water and mix well.
  5.  Pour another 1/2 cup and mix again.
  6. Check for seasoning and add anything if required.

Turmeric Powder  -  0.5 tbsp
Kashmiri Chili Powder  -  1 tbsp
Salt  -  1 tbsp
Asafoetida  -  0.5 tbsp
Carom seeds  -  1 tbsp
Dried Fenugreek Leaves  -  1 tbsp
Onion  -  1 nos
Carrot  -  1 nos
Capsicum  -  1 nos
Diced Tomato  -  1 nos
Coriander Leaves - Chopped  -  1 tbsp

Cooking Cheela

  1. Heat a pan and pour a ladle of batter on it. 
  2. Spread it gently and add some oil to the edges.
  3. Cook the chilla on medium low flame.
  4. Once it done on one side, flip it to the other side and cook evenly.
  5. After the chilla is golden brown in color on both sides, remove it from the pan.
