Step By Step Mode
Prepare the Tempering

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add 1½ teaspoons of cumin seeds and let them change color.
  3. Add 2-3 chopped green chillies, 7-8 curry leaves, and ¼ teaspoon asafoetida.
  4. Saute for 30 seconds.

Saute the Vegetables

  1. Add 1 large chopped onion and saute till translucent.
  2. Add 1 large potato (cut into small cubes) and 1 small carrot (peeled and cut into small cubes).
  3. Saute well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add 4-5 chopped French beans and saute for 1 minute.

  1. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons red chilli powder, and salt to taste.
  2. Mix well to combine.
  3. Add the soaked bajra and moong dal.
  4. Add ¼ cup green peas and 2 tablespoons freshly chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.

  1. Add 8 cups of water to the pressure cooker. Mix well.
  2. Cover and cook until 5-6 whistles are released.
