Rinsing rice

  1. Rinse brown rice with water 2-3 times and soak in 3-4 cups of water for an hour.

  1. Add ghee to the pressure cooker and let it heat up.
  2. Once the ghee is hot, add cumin seeds, cloves, peppercorns and cinnamon, and let them crackle for 4-5 sec.
  3. Add onions and fry until the onions turn golden brown for 5-8 minutes. Stir frequently.

Onion  -  0.5 cup
Adding veggies and rice

  1. Add grean peas, cauliflower, beans and potatoes and fry for a minute, stirring frequently.
  2. Drain the water from rice and add the rice to the instant pot along with 2.5 cups of water.
  3. Add salt, black pepper powder, and garam masala powder, sugar and stir to combine.
  4. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook it for 20 minutes
